Did you know there’s a constantly growing #TTC community on Instagram ?

I’ve been loving getting to know more about the Instagram community. It’s massive and is only going to get bigger. This week I interviewed a brilliant blogger and now social media star called Hilariously Infertile who has over 40k followers on Instagram as makes a point of bringing humour to this tricky topic. However, her attempts to get her book published were met by comments such as ‘there’s not the audience for this’ .. the publisher obviously didn’t take any notice of her Instagram following.

Are you on Insta

It’s becoming more and more common for people to search Instagram first, before even looking for your website. If you’re not on there are you staying in touch with #TTC community? There is no excuse anymore to not be keeping abreast of social media developments. Yes, it is a job in itself and you may well have a dedicated staff member or agency working on it. If you don’t and it seems like a minefield, that is where The Ultimate Fertility Guide can help you. Once your business is listed in the guide, it automatically becomes a part of our social media platforms so you benefit from all our digital marketing knowledge.

Yesterday Instagram announced a new app, IGTV   –  a mobile TV platform that takes elements from YouTube, Snapchat and other platforms and puts them all in one place. WOWSERS!  Also, the main Instagram app will feature a dedicated IGTV section so the need to be making videos is only going to increase. What does this mean well it means there are even more opportunities for you to be seen, to connect, to be found.

Speaking to your audience

The Fertility Podcast has provided a constant source of communication and information for the #TTC community for over four years now and as podcasts become more and more popular and there are more podcast apps available to listen via, the journey will continue which is so exciting. We are planning more bespoke podcast content having already created series for Surrogacy UK, OvuSense, Access Fertility and episodes for the HFEA and Fertility Fest. If you’ve been keen to explore more storytelling opportunities to engage with your audience, then, of course, that’s a conversation we can have. Natalie is a professional broadcaster and interviewer and can work with you to plan an engaging series to give more of an insight into your business.

Along with our love of audio, our obsession with online video content is only going to increase. You need to be thinking about exciting ways to talk about what you are doing, that moves your message off the page. Your listing within our guide includes live streaming and we can continue to work together to create more content ideas as we work together. For example – have you started thinking about sharing more with your audience so they can understand more about YOU?  Is there a particular consultant who would be great on camera? You don’t need a production crew – they can just start using their phone to engage. Could you share more from an event or a recent development that has happened in your field, a new product or a new service? Maybe you’re a coach or a yoga teacher  – could you engage better just by using your smartphone more?
